First training session of the week

Kamil Söz led his team's first training session of the day this morning at Fenerbahce Dereagzi Lefter Kücükandonyadis Facilities and Yellow Angels, who worked under conditioner Turgay Aslanyurek at the morning session.

During Monday morning’s training session, Eda Erdem began to work with the their teammates for the first time since her injury.

Yellow Angels will hold its next training session on Tuesday morning, beginning at 10:00 hours.

Sarı Melekler Sağlık Kontrolünden Geçti

Fenerbahçe Bayan Voleybol Takımımızda oyuncular ve teknik ekip, Göztepe Medical Park Hastanesi’nde, sezon öncesi rutin sağlık kontrolünden geçti.

Oyuncularımız ve teknik heyetimizden oluşan 18 kişilik kadromuz Medical Park Göztepe Hastanesi’nde sırasıyla cerrahi, dahiliye, ağız-diş, kulak-burun-boğaz ve göz muayenesi ile efor testinden geçti.

Yellow Angels have successfully passed all medical tests at the Göztepe Medical Park Hospital this morning.

Sarı Melekler Yeni Sezonu Açtı

Sarı Melekler, yeni sezonun ilk çalışmasını Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Tesisleri’nde gerçekleştirdi.

Yeni sezonun ilk idmanı öncesi teknik ve idari heyet, oyuncularla bir toplantı yaptı. Antrenmanı izlemeye sarı lacivertli taraftarlar da geldi. Tezahüratlarla takıma destek veren taraftarlar, oyunculara baklava da ikram etti.

Sarı Melekler'in antrenmanı açma germe hareketleriyle başlarken koşuyla devam etti. Atletizm sahasında antrenör Kamil Söz yönetiminde gerçekleştirilen ve yaklaşık 1.5 saat süren çalışma, uygulanan hafif tempolu kuvvet programıyla sona erdi.

2012 Londra Olimpiyatları sonrası izinli olan Eda Erdem, Yeon Koung Kim, Paula Pequeno, Marianne Steinbrecher antrenmanda yer almadı.

Eda Erdem'in sakatlığının ciddi olmadığı 1 Eylül'de takıma yetişeceği söyleniyor. Paula ve Mari ise 1 Eylül'de İstanbul'a gelecekler.

Yeon Koung Kim ise Güney Kore World Grand Pri 2013 Elemeleri için Asya Kupası'na katılacak. Asya Kupası karşılaşmaları 10-16 Eylül tarihlerinde Kazakistan'ın Almaty şehrinde düzenlenecek. Güney Kore'nin finale kalması halinde Kim ancak 16 Eylül'den sonra takıma katılabilecek.

Programın uygun olması halinde ise Sarı Melekler, Eylül ayının sonunda bir turnuvaya katılacak.

First training session under Kamil Söz

After passing various medical tests on Monday to start the pre-season, Yellow Angels set to work this Tuesday afternoon at the Fenerbahce Lefter Kücükandonyadis Facilities.

There was good news already at this first training session, as Seda Tokatlıoglu was able to exercise with their teammates for the first time since her injury. Seda missed the Olympic Games after spraining her right knee in April 2012.

Joining in the first team training session on pitch were 11 players who will spend this week with Fenerbahce’s squad: Nilay Özdemir, Elif Agca, Duygu Bal, İpek Soroglu, Gökçen Denkel, Berenika Okuniewska, Seda Tokatlıoğlu, Elif Onur, Meryem Boz, Nihan Güneyligil and Merve Dalbeler.

Eda Erdem, Mari and Paula will join the Fenerbahce's pre-season preparations on September 1st. As for Eda Erdem continues with her process of recovery.

Yeon Koung Kim will join the Fenerbahce 's pre-season preparations towards the end of September due to the Asian Cup games.

Yellow Angels will hold its next training session on Wednesday again without the newest players. (Kim, Paula and Mari)

Latest Fenerbahce News

In Europe the economic crisis continues to get worse. Universal Hospital Groups has the economics crisis and they have ended their sponsorship agreement with Fenerbahce. There are many offers from different companies. (for ex. Garanti Bank, Doğuş Groups & Holding) In previously there were proposals for new sponsorship by Turkish Airlines but there is nothing official yet.

First of all, Fenerbahce part ways with head coach Ze Roberto as well as foreign players Fabiana Claudino and Lioubov Sokolova.

Fenerbahce announced the departures of local players Duygu Bal, Didem Ege, Yağmur Koçyiğit. I think, that is a good news. Unfortunately, Yağmur, Duygu and Didem can't be even substitutes in Fenerbahçe.

On the other hand, Eda Erdem has resigned 3 year contract extensions to remain with the Fenerbahce. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed. Also Nihan has resigned contract extensions to remain with Fenerbahce too.

After losing Naz, Fenerbahçe has signed 2 years contract with Turkish setter from Vakifbank Türk Telekom Nilay Özdemir.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce have added Meryem Boz (OH/OPP), Elif Onur (OH) and Gökçen Denkel Zop (MB) to their next season’s roster.

Fenerbahce tries everything to extend superstar Kim's contract and in my opinion yellow canaries can't afford to lose Yeon Koung Kim. We'll wait and see..

After the Polish superstar Skowronska, another Polish player Berenika Okuniewska has decided to play for Fenerbahce. I think it would be good choice because all the best level other MBs like Rasic, Akinradewo, Thaisa agreed with other clubs.

Fenerbahce have resigned with Turkish players Merve Dalbeler, İpek Soroglu and Seda Uslu Eryüz (has not yet been confirmed by club)

Rumors

- At the end of the season, Sheilla Castro had an offer from Fenerbahce once again but she didn't accept and she already signed with Sollys Osasco but we wish you the best Sheilla* (It's not official)

- Fenerbahce met with representatives of young Turkish libero Gizem Orge and Nilüfer Belediyesi in May regarding the transfer of the player to Fenerbahce Dereagzi Facilities but no Gizem Orge to Fenerbahce deal and Gizem Orge has no chance of joining Fenerbahce at this time.* (Gizem has already signed with Vakifbank Türk Telekom)

- Turkish sources has denied reports that Brazilian spiker Mari has secured deal to Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce have ended their interest in Brazilian spiker Marianne Steinbrecher.

Finally, Fenerbahce will play at the 2012/2013 CEV Cup and FIVB World Club Championships.

We have Logan Tom.. Logan Tom is the most efficient jump server of the team, her serve usually clocks 90-95 mph. Also Kim's jump serves are very strong. I think receivers have a lot of difficulty in reception of a really strong jump serve.

Prediction: I’d say the Fenerbahce beat them in 3 games. Expect the Fenerbahce Universal to be waiting on Vakifbank TTelekom or Eczacibasi in round 2.;​​​​​​​​​​​

We're going back to Baku !

Fenerbahce Universal have qualified for the third CEV Champions League semi final in club history and this one takes us back to Baku 1 month after winning the victory in the same place.

Cannes 2010, Istanbul 2011... and now Baku in 2012. Yellow Angels having put out Rabita Baku in the semi finals.

Yellow Angels are going to Baku on Wednesday and the press conference will be held on March 23.
